The following are the personal and local outreach ministries of our congregation. For more information contact the office at the numbers above.

"Let not the oppressed turn back in shame: may the poor and needy praise Your name." —Psalm 74:21

Personal Ministries
What Will You Leave Behind? Everyone leaves footprints. Our prints are made by the impression of our lives on the sands of time. A person is remembered for character, accomplishments, generosity, faith, kindness, compassion, personal warmth, values and integrity. When we leave positive impressions, we make footprints for others to follow.

In baptism, Christ promises us his enduring love. As stewards of God's gifts, we too may have an enduring influence. The fruits of our lives can continue to work for the Lord. Your enduring gift is one means to make a print in the sand to help others recall your life and values.

What is the Enduring Gifts Program? The purpose of this program is to enhance the mission outreach of this congregation and to achieve ministries and projects above and beyond those supported through the annual operating budget of this congregation.

For more information, download the St. Stephen Enduring Gifts brochure.
To request an enduring gift download the application form (MS Word file) and submit it either via email or USPS.

St. Stephen E.L. Church's Causeway Cafe continues to host our church's local talent and feature our famous baked goods. Pray that it grows to become a fixture for our neighbors and friends. A place where fellowship and community come together to build bonds beyond the walls of the church. A place where we encourage and strengthen our faith in Jesus and share the joy of God's love. Be a part of this growing outreach, come share the Spirit!

Local Ministries
St. Laurence Chapel, an outreach program right here in Pompano Beach that helps our brothers and sisters get back on their feet.

How you can help
St. Laurence Chapel gladly accepts any items that will help the homeless. Here are some of the items they can use: canned food and drinks, cereal, snacks, baking products, baby clothes and toys, men's and women's clothing and shoes, household items such as washcloths, towels and linens. Of course, financial donations are always needed and are greatly appreciated.

Every gift helps!
If you have questions about an item you would like to donate, or to arrange for a donation, contact information is below:

"But at once He spoke with them, 'Take courage, it is I, do not be afraid!' He got into the boat with them and the wind died down. They were [completely] astounded." —Mark 6:50b-51

Seafarers' House, in nearby Port Everglades, mission is to improve the lives of seafarers and their families through ecumenical service. The organization takes a multi-faith approach to the Christian founded maritime ministry tradition by striving to honor the faiths of all who visit.

Seafarers typically work long hours for low wages and can be away from their families for up to a year at a time. When they arrive in port, there is precious little shore time to contact loved ones, shop for necessities and maybe rest and relax. Most who visit the Seafarers' House want to make calls on one of the 85 phones available. Because being separated from family for extended periods is difficult, callers often seek counseling after their calls.

The Seafarers' House offers visitors postal and shipping services as well as a small store that sells everything from soap to foreign newspapers and ethnic food products. A free van service is available and they provide a secure system for transferring money back to the families these men and women work so hard to support.
