Adult Bible Study Every Monday Evening People hunger for connections: to each other between what they; learn, and how they worship between their Sunday and Monday faith. What if the lessons learned in Sunday School and in Adult Bible Study were reinforced by the pastor's sermon as well as the hymns and songs of worship? What if the same links were made to daily life? That's our plan here at Saint Stephen! We seek to align the primary activities of congregational life: Worship, Preaching, and Learning and Faith formation. We want to connect God's Word with how we live our lives from day to day. Word of Life: Exploring the Lectionary, the Bible study which Pastor Van O'Linda will leading each Monday evening beginning October 6 at 7:00 p.m., is based on the idea that connecting a person's life to the Word and then linking back to daily life builds a strong faith. In this life to Bible to life model, daily activities and situations are connected to biblical themes and then brought back to human experience, fostering a new understanding of one's life in relationship to God and one another |
